Prajyoti Madhusudan is a Bharatanatyam dance artist, teacher and choreographer. She received her training in Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Gopinath Nair and from G. Karunambal of the famous Sri Rajarajeswari Bharatha Natya Kala Mandir, one of the most prestigious dance institutions in Mumbai.
Prajyoti Madhusudan has been training students in Bharatanatyam at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Manchester for the past 19 years. Her students appear for grade exams with ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance)which is one of the leading dance examination boards in UK and 80% of her students have successfully passed their exams with distinction. Senior students are also trained in vocational training with ISTD which offers them opportunities to pursue a career in dance. Plenty of performance opportunities at various cultural and charitable events are offered to the students at Bhavan which in turn enhances their confidence and self esteem.
As an artist, Prajyoti has also been involved in various arts education projects, choreography, dance-in-education school projects, workshops, INSET training courses, Charity events and touring dance productions. Her work reflects her vision of making art accessible to people of all ages and from all walks of life.
